Just finished an interesting Photo shoot for Goat Milk Clothing. The two models were Casey Ruggieri and Candice Lam. The setup was done in my small 450sft Home Studio with a Norman 808m pack and 4 heads.
I could use a bit of distance for sure but it looks like I managed even a 5'11' model at full body - her being about 3 feet from the backdrop. Styling was done by the clothing designer Zainab Outlaw, and posing was somewhat freestyle as well as I had quite a bit of freedom in choosing my lighting setups. It was a lot of fun and Looking at the results I'm quite happy pulling this off with 800 w/sec pack with 4 heads and a two car garage turned into a studio.
PS: Light Modifiers such as silk flags and 2 white bounce boards were also used in this setup - also a small amount of vignetting was added to some of the photos to accentuate the already round spot created by my low light that is behind the models.

Hope4Children Charity Gala- Fashion Show - Nov.5th Hollywood -
Hope4Children Charity Gala- Fashion Show - Nov.5th Hollywood -, originally uploaded by Csabastyle - Csaba Fikker Photography.
The event was a H.O.P.E 4 Children Charity Gala event with an amazing lineup of designers and models. La Models provided the Models, and most of the Designers were from Project Runway - such as my favorite collection of Jerell Scott, who took 4th place in season 5. - also Sterling Williams, Mila Hermanovski and Octavio Carlin
The Runway had a very nice distance to it, lighting as usual not enough but all conditions provided I decided to shoot this event with my Canon 100mm 2.8 L lens. The lens was fast and focus was quick and accurate. I had to crank it up to ISO 1600 and choose 160th with 4.5 f Stop. It was risky but overall I'm very pleased with the results. So much as a matter of fact that I had with me my standard 70-200 2.8L and a 24-70 2.8 L and I do not regret going with a prime lens like the 100mm from Canon.
The event was quite entertaining, the lineups were just fabulous and I heard the $500 dinners were great as well. My wife Shari helped at this star studded event as a volunteer as well, we figured this would be a nice thing for both of us to do as a give back to the community and of course it came with perks such as I got to pose with actress Bai Ling and I had a chance to shoot her for about 15 minutes with my friend Kai He, and all i have to say She loves the Camera.
My Pictures of the event can be found at:
